A priority pledge
Food safety is a priority at Foster. We have established rigorous storage and handling procedures, security plans, safety programs, and facility sanitation to minimize the risk of contamination to food products from before product enters our facility until it leaves our docks. To ensure the enforcement of these processes and procedures, we are audited by an independent third-party certification body on an annual basis. Our adherence to food safety principles results in safe, consistent products for our customers.
An Industry Leader in Food Safety
Food safety and Foster go back over 20 years! This longtime commitment set us apart as an emerging leader in food safety. In February 2016, we moved to a higher level of accountability, as we underwent our first Safe Quality Foods (SQF) audit. SQF is a Global Food Safety Initiative benchmarked standard that is recognized by retailers, foodservice providers and regulatory agencies around the world. We are proud to have three of our distribution centers certified to the SQF Code consistently scoring Excellent ratings.
